Employee Free Choice Act "Talking Points" Printing Industries Alliance has developed "Talking Points" to assist PIA members in discussing the Employee Free Choice Act with friends, business associates or staff. Contact PIA at (800) 777-4742 or (908) 233-4124 if you have any questions on this issue. Contact Congress to express your opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act. Visit the Legislative Action Center to quickly send a customizable email to your legislators. A recent survey indicates that most voters agree that workers should continue to have the right to a federally supervised private ballot election. Click here for a copy of these results. Franklin Event Held on September 10th Awards were presented to five industry leaders at the Franklin Event held on September 10th at Pier Sixty in New York City. Sponsored for the second year by Printing Industries Alliance, 500 representatives from the graphic communications industry were in attendance. PIA Legal Alert: For our New York State members, a new state law will require all employers to have written employment contracts with their commissioned salespersons. Read Legal Alert. Franklin Event Award Recipients Announced The award recipients for the 2009 PIA Franklin Event were announced at a press conference held May 20th at the Xerox Park Avenue facility in Manhattan. NYS Printers: Quick Action Needed on Proposed NYS "Do Not Mail" Legislation: Two separate bills have been introduced into the New York State legislature, both of which will negatively impact the production of advertising mail, mail stream volume and ultimately, your company. Even if your company doesn't print material that is mailed, this issue is important to you and we need your participation.
