 Record Crowd Attends Franklin Event: The prestigious Franklin Event, held for the first time in its 55-year history under the auspices of Printing Industries Alliance (PIA) at Pier Sixty, New York City on September 18, 2007, drew a record-breaking crowd of 550 attendees and 49 corporate sponsors.  Read complete press releaseClick here to view past Franklin Event award recipients.


PIA Legal Alert:  For our New York State members, a new state law will require all employers to have written employment contracts with their commissioned salespersons.  Read Legal Alert.  Sales Agreement Compliance Guide and Sample Sales Agreement have been developed by Association Counsel Nick Fiorenza.  These items are contained in the "Vault" and are available only to PIA members.  Contact PIA to obtain login info.

Public Printer of United States to Attend PIA Franklin Event: September 10th in New York City There is still time to sponsor and/or purchase tickets for the Printing Industries Alliance's 2008 Franklin Event scheduled for September 10, 2008 (5:30 - 9:30 pm) at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers.  While individual tickets may be purchased until the day before this exciting event and/or at the door, firms wishing to sponsor should notify PIA by September 3rd.

In addition to several prominent industry leaders being feted, Robert C. Tapella, the 25th Public Printer of the United States, will attend the Event and be presented with an "Industry Recognition Award" in honor of his prestigious post and exemplary service to our country.  Read complete press release.

The Franklin Event has been held for over 50 years in New York City and the tradition continues for 2008. The following industry leaders will be recognized:
