Welcome

Credit and Collection Services

Printing Industries Alliance provides services to assist our members in evaluating the credit worthiness of prospective and current customers. We can also help you collect from slow paying accounts. The three types of credit and collection services are described below.

Experian Credit Reports
PIA offers quick and inexpensive access to Experian Credit Reports as a member service.
Many members have become regular users of this service as part of their own credit approval procedure. Experian is one of our country’s largest suppliers of commercial credit reports. They maintain an extensive online database of information on the credit worthiness of companies located across the USA, as well as internationally.  Call us to order:
Business Profile Report – The Profile Report allows you to base your risk assessment and evaluation on verified, objective information about a business.  Experian presents third party trade and public record information on businesses.  A national file ensures that your business decisions are based on current, accurate and objective information.  Experian does not rely on information provided by companies on themselves. The amount of credit information available on a particular customer will vary based on how long they have been business, size of business and other factors. Cost: $32.50 per report PIA accesses Experian Reports via the Internet and information can be faxed or emailed to you within minutes.  To order an Experian report, call PIA at (800) 777-4PIA or send an email to info@PIAlliance.org

Online Slow Pay Credit Reporting Service
Find out quickly if a new customer is slow paying or is a collection problem
Only a few minutes of work each month will enable your firm to access reports on “slow-pay/no-pay” companies.  Under the law, members of a trade association may exchange information on overdue customer accounts as an activity for their mutual benefit and protection. There are two ways for your company to participate in the Association’s Credit Reporting Service.
(1) Paper Method – A Credit Reporting Service form is sent out monthly to participants in the Slow Pay service.  By completing and returning this form, you will receive the compiled, coded report for that month and a blank form for the next month.
(2) Online Method – To participate, click on the link to the Slow Pay icon on the home page.  Print out the disclaimer agreement, fill it out and fax it to PIA. You will then be set up with an account number and password. Once you are a subscriber, you will be able to access slow-pay reports throughout the PIA affiliate network all over the country.
For either method, members can call PIA to find out if a particular company has been reported in the past several years. Remember . . . the more members willing to share this important information – the better!
